A plumbing and HVAC company built out of frustration
Noah Merckle started Merckle Plumbing in 2022 because he wanted higher quality work at a fair price for the community he actually lives in.
Why the company exists
Anyone who has worked in the trades long enough has watched the same scene play out. A technician walks into a house, glances at the nameplate on a piece of equipment, works out roughly how old it is, and starts talking about replacement before a meter comes out of the bag. The customer has no way to tell whether that is honest or not. Most of the time they say yes, because what else are they going to do.
Noah got tired of that. He is a Florida state certified plumbing contractor and a certified mechanical contractor, which means he holds the licenses for both trades personally, and in 2022 he started this company to do the job the other way around: find out what is actually wrong, explain it in words that mean something, repair it if repairing it is honest, and only talk about replacement when the numbers genuinely say so.
That is not a marketing position. It is a set of things we refuse to do, and it costs us money sometimes. A technician who fixes a capacitor writes a much smaller invoice than one who sells a condenser. We are fine with that, because the second kind of company only gets to do it once per customer.
He wanted higher quality service at an affordable price for his own community. That is still the whole business plan.
Both trades, one license holder
Most companies do plumbing or they do air conditioning. Merckle does both, and that is not an attempt to look bigger than we are. It is because a large share of the expensive problems in a Florida house sit exactly where the two trades meet.
A condensate line backing up into a closet is an HVAC symptom with a plumbing cause. A water heater and an air handler sharing a space have venting implications for both. A gas line feeding a range and a furnace is one system with two sets of requirements. When two different companies are involved, you get to referee an argument about whose problem it is. When one company holds both certifications, you do not.
The licenses are public record and worth checking, on this or any contractor you let into your house. The Florida DBPR license portal will confirm them.
What we will and will not do
We answer the phone. Around the clock, seven days, and it is a real person rather than a service that takes a message and emails it over in the morning. If your water heater lets go at midnight, midnight is exactly when you need somebody to pick up.
We diagnose before we quote. Readings first, opinion second. On an air conditioning call that means temperature split, static pressure, refrigerant pressures and the electrical components that fail first in this heat. On a plumbing call it means working out whether you have a supply problem or a drainage problem before anything gets cut, because those lead in opposite directions.
We explain what we found. Not in trade shorthand designed to make you feel out of your depth, but in plain language, including what happens if you leave it. Then you decide, not us.
We publish our maintenance plan pricing. Whole Home, HVAC only and Plumbing only rates are all printed on this website with the add-ons listed, because nobody should have to endure a sales visit to learn what a tune-up costs.
What we will not do: quote a replacement on a system we have not properly tested, invent an after-hours multiplier, or leave your house dirtier than we found it.

How long has Merckle Plumbing been around?
Noah founded the company in 2022. The team between them carries more than twenty years of combined hands-on trade experience, which is a different thing from the company being twenty years old, and we would rather be straight about the distinction.
Who actually shows up at my house?
A licensed technician, and on a lot of jobs that is Noah. We are not big enough to send someone you have never heard of and never see again, which is one of the advantages of staying local.
Are you insured as well as licensed?
Yes, licensed and insured. Plumbing contractor CFC1429646 and mechanical contractor CMC1250426, both verifiable on the state portal.
Do you work weekends and holidays?
The phone is answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Emergencies do not observe business hours and neither does the phone.
What areas do you serve?

Do you do commercial as well as residential?
